As always, a nice welcome and service we had goose breast and leg of goose, both with dumplings, red cabbage and chestnuts. Simply delicious.

The best that the southern palatinate has to offer is always warm and friendly to every guest. As a Cologne native, I can say that, my husband is from the Palatinate and knows it from his childhood.

It is excellent, with a beautiful decor, the staff are very friendly.

Very nicely located restaurant in the middle of the Bienwald with good food and friendly service. An oasis of hospitality that rewards you for walking down the winding and narrow streets.

Great restaurant in the middle of the forest. Have been coming back here for many years and have never been disappointed. Great game dishes, convincing wine list. What we particularly love are the homemade dumplings, potato noodles and spaetzle. Always a pleasure!

Few options for vegetarians, just fries € 7 ? but basically good food, grilled vegetables were tasty and marinated squash too. Service tried hard, but not very well informed.

We went to this restaurant for a family dinner, in principle I and we liked it very much, tasted very good, but I personally have to make a few minor and one major criticism. (therefore 2 star deduction) At first it was in the dining room in which we were not able to get to the cloakroom without keeping the 1.50m minimum distance to the other guests at the table directly in front of it, here there is certainly a possibility to provide more distance, e.g. B. if the 2-seater table between the seating areas were temporarily dispensed with. Especially since the public seemed to be more elderly in general and therefore special attention should be paid to protecting them. The menu selection was unfortunately only one main course for non-meat eaters. It would be nice here for the next set of cards if you consider that not everyone always has a craving for meat. Personally, I generally eat meat, but I don't always have an appetite for it and I would have been happy about an alternative to fried vegetables. Also, now the point that really bothered me. Since I couldn't find an alternative, I asked for a portion of french fries, which cost € 7.50 even though I ordered a soup as a starter. (Understandable, if I'd only ordered these fries, the earnings have to come from somewhere, it's not a chip shop, but rather incomprehensible with soup and in a group) There was no mayonnaise, just ketchup or gravy. Despite the fact that I am pregnant there was no alternative and no accommodation, so I was forced to eat the very thin fries with sauce for € 7.50. What I would have liked: - Majo - A reasonable price for this portion of fries, especially if it is clearly communicated that, and why, the rest of the menu does not approve - Homemade fries would have been worth the price - To offer an alternative to the creativity of the staff in such a case (e.g. side dishes other than mixing plates, croquettes, beans, potatoes, there were many options that I didn't have in mind before eating, sometimes I know that strange customers like me are allowed to consult with the kitchen to find something else) - Especially when pregnant, the appetite is really difficult and I would have liked a little more understanding here. - in exceptional cases also offer children's meals for adults, I would have liked the spaetzle too - Starters as main courses as an alternative, the pumpkin soup was super delicious, as a slightly larger soup that would have been enough for me Fortunately, we were able to swap something with each other, so that in the end I didn't just have french fries as my main course and could try the other's delicious side dishes. The food was consistently delicious and after this first experience I would still like to come back, in the future I will have a better overview and can order more specifically myself.

Rejected because you only wanted something to drink. On the one hand understandable. On the other hand, you can also find a solution here if you want.

A look on the net is enough to refrain from a visit. And why do you get a table here from one day to the next on the weekend when all the other restaurants are fully booked? Outdated news about the summer vacation in autumn. And that the daughter's birthday and going to school doesn't interest me when I want to go out to eat. And then you thank them for not allowing dogs. Oh: just drinking something (even outside of meal times) is no longer possible, since you're too fine for that now.

Great restaurant! It was the nicest one we found during the week we spent in Germany. We had lunch there twice and enjoyed the variety of food selections. On one of the occasions I wasn't in the mood for German food, so I had a steak. I could not believe how delicious it was! I've never had a better steak, even in the US, and I live in TEXAS! Quite coincidentally, we discovered on our 2nd visit that my husband's distant cousin is married to a cousin of Miriam, the owner of the restaurant! So if you go there, tell her that her "cousin" from Texas recommended it!

Desires are read from the eyes of the Roth family ... :) I am very much in favor of the brittle ice cream being on the menu!

Amazing experience of ambiance, food and hospitality In the middle of forest. The snail(German escargot) was so fresh and impressive. Worth to visit again this area for the restaurant.
